Swainson's Hawks migrate 14,000 miles between North America and Argentina—one of the longest raptor migrations on Earth. In the 1990s, aerial pesticide spraying on Argentine farmland killed an estimated 20,000 of them in a single season.

This one commandeered a satellite surveillance system. It documents habitat fragmentation in Saskatchewan, pesticide drift in Buenos Aires, migration corridors severed by development. Broadcasting evidence in real-time.

For the record, they didn't stop spraying.
