Walrus, VW Bus

In the 1960s, a generation of humans tried to live like walruses. Mobile, coastal, gathering in gregarious communities unencumbered by property. The VW Bus was their attempt at flippers. This piece imagines the reversal: a walrus reclaiming the rusted dream of human nomadism, now that the ice is gone and the buses have returned to the sea.
